Vatican comms chief defends ongoing official use of Rupnik art

In response to a question about the Vatican’s continuing use of disgraced former Jesuit, Marko Rupnik’s art, Paolo Ruffini said “We’re not talking about abuse of minors. We are talking [about] a story that we don’t know.” His reference is to the fact that Rupnik, though credibly accused of sex- and clerical-abuse, has yet to face a canonical trial. “I don’t think we have to throw stones,” Ruffini said, “thinking that this is the way of healing.”
